Family Halloween Costume | How to Use My Steps to Recreate Your Own DIY Costumes

Halloween 2020 was different to say the least but we still had a lot of fun celebrating with the kids in our family Halloween costume theme! There was no trick-or-treating for us but we still got dressed up and ate a little too much candy!

We started out the morning with monster pancakes and pumpkins full of goodies! The kids put together their crafts and started begging for a piece of candy right away… if we do this again, we’ll remember to just do crafts in the morning and save the candy for the afternoon.

Since I knew we weren’t going anywhere for Halloween I didn’t want to invest too much into costumes. I used clothes that we already had, purchased some headbands and face paint and voila! We had 4 deer, 1 hunter and a Dad to take the pictures 🙂

Later in the evening we went to our community center for an outdoor Halloween movie with friends. We didn’t stay the entire time as it started to sprinkle but the kids still loved going up to show off their costumes. Sawyers was so simple but probably one of my favorites for him because he looked like a miniature Sheldon!

The day after Halloween we did go visit our home which is currently being built and we checked out our neighbors Halloween decorations. It made us so exited to think about next year; hopefully walking around trick-or-treating with new friends and getting our own house ready for Halloween! It is difficult to decorate our apartment since we aren’t going to put holes in the walls so we keep looking forward to Holidays next year in our BRAND NEW HOME!

Sharing how I threw together this family Halloween costume look! My husband didn’t dress up but if he did, we would have just made him a hunter with Sawyer.
